The Student Government Association (SGA) empowers students to shape campus life, advocate for their peers, and lead meaningful change. Through leadership, service, and collaboration, SGA helps strengthen the Holy Cross experience for every student.

Three Branches.Ìý One Mission.

Through the Executive Board, Senate, and Programming Board, students have opportunities to lead, serve, and create experiences that strengthen campus life. Each branch plays a unique role in supporting the student body and advancing the mission of Holy Cross. This year’s Executive Board are:

Senate

The SGA Student Senate is comprised of three representatives from each of the four classes and among commuter students, along with two representatives from the Gateway Cohort.Ìý Senators are elected by campus-wide elections held in the spring semester for upper classmen and commuter students, and in the fall for freshmen and Gateway representatives.Ìý The 2025-26 Senators are:

Programming Board

The SGA Programming Board has five distinct committees who work together to further the mission of Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ while promoting a holistic student experience.Ìý Members of the Programming Board are appointed by the Director of Student Activities through an application and interview process which includes the SGA President and Vice-President.Ìý The committees include:

  • The Campus Engagement Committee creates events that are fun and engaging while meeting the diverse interests and needs of the student body, paying particular attention to the range of cultural backgrounds from which our students come. This committee is responsible for overseeing the implementation of all Ave Tunes and Spes Uni events programming.
  • The Communications Committee is critical to the success of SGA by being the main channel for creating awareness and promotion of events for SGA and Student Life. This committee creates the weekly Stall Street Journal/Driscoll Dispatch and event flyers, as well as maintaining the SGA Instagram account.
  • TheÌýSignature Events CommitteeÌýconnects students to the vibrant community life of the college by overseeing the implementation of signature events that are a part of the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ tradition. These events includeÌýFall Fest,ÌýFriendsgiving,ÌýSaints Soiree, andÌýGames on theÌýGreen, as well as supporting theÌýHarvest MoonÌýandÌýSpring Jubilee music festivals.
  • TheÌýSocial Advocacy CommitteeÌýcreates and organizes opportunities for the college community to serve those in need in our local community. This committee is responsible for planning and organizing two large scale outreach programs that are part of the College’s tradition: theÌýSt. Vincent de Paul Thanksgiving Food BasketsÌýandÌýSpring into Service,Ìýas well as smaller programs which support local service agencies. Additionally, the Social Advocacy Committee develops tabling events that focus on promoting awareness and education on issues which support the key principles and values of the Catholic Church’s social justice tradition.
  • TheÌýWellness CommitteeÌýsupports student well-being by creating and implementing events centered around emotional, mental, physical, spiritual, and relational health. Collectively, these events aim at helping students to develop balanced, healthier lifestyles so they can thrive during their college careers.
